Successful Completion of the restoration of a rusted steel space frame; replaced with a new aluminum structure and skylight
We have just successfully completed this project which started on March 30th and ended May 19th 2009. (With an Easter Break in the middle) The work included erecting a temporary floor directly underneath an old Uni-Strut steel space frame. The floor was necessary to protect the public and allow for the most effieicent installation procedures. Standard scaffolding was too expensive to erect 17 floors up and standard rental beams were too short. We therefore built our own floor including installing a one ton steel beam to support the TJI’s in one area.
