Loa Elaine Packard, 78, formerly of Davenport, Iowa passed away March 20, 2009, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

No services were held; her body was donated to University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. A celebration of life is planned on June 27, in Des Moines, Iowa and this summer a special early morning breakfast will be held in her honor in Colorado.

Loa was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Des Moines, to Carl and Edith Dawson. She was united in marriage to Glen Robin Packard on Dec. 19, 1948, in Des Moines. Loa was a farmwife, homemaker, LPN and bookkeeper remembered by family and friends for her hospitality, good cooking and fun-loving personality.
